Meet Sandra Aguilar

Sandra is a Licensed Professional Counselor in behavioral health. She supports and guides adults, children, couples and families through anxiety, life transitions, trauma, reclaiming pleasures in everyday life, grief and loss, and breakdowns of trust and communication.  


Sandra prioritizes building and maintaining an alliance with her clients. In her practices, she utilizes therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, solution-focused therapy, brief therapy, and trauma focused therapy to further a client’s growth. Her areas of interest included but are not limited to men and women’s mental health, child and adolescent development, family dynamics, family systems, and relationships. She has worked closely with families experiencing: Divorce, children affected by divorce and/or separation, and children coping between two-parent households.


A message from Sandra: “My clients are the experts on their lives, and I work from a client-centered approach to help them experience meaningful gains. I enjoy supporting and educating clients throughout their journey, life coaching."  


In 2006, Sandra practiced as a Guardian ad Litem for Travis County until 2009.  Also in 2009, she practiced as an individual counselor and performed child custody evaluations.  Sandra has extensive experience in working with those experiencing depression, divorce, anxiety, and trauma.
